Every kitchen exhaust cleaning service provider has different services to offer. At Pro Wash of Montana, we follow the same script every time we visit- this ensures that
nothing in the system will be missed.
● Our service starts with a pre-cleaning inspection of the exhaust system to determine the scope of cleaning, and identify any issues. We believe that identifying any problem that needs attention is a part of the cleaning service. If there are any unusual problems, our experts can find them!
● The exhaust system, as well as all kitchen appliances and gas valves, are turned off for the safety of the cleaners as well as to avoid any unforeseeable damage.
● Before cleaning, we carefully wrap the hood and surrounding appliances to ensure a safe, mess-free process. This prevents water, grease, and cleaning agents from damaging equipment, keeps surfaces contaminant-free, and enhances overall efficiency.
● Several processes are used to clean kitchen exhaust systems. The most common is the use of chemicals to break down the grease and hot water to rinse away the residue. Chemicals are generally applied with a low pressure chemical foamer. In extreme situations where grease buildup is too heavy for a chemical application and a rinse, scrapers may be used to remove excess buildup from the contaminated surfaces, before chemicals are applied.
● Once the chemicals are applied, they are allowed to dwell on the surface of the grease for a period of time before being washed off of the surface with hot water. The wrapping of the hood directs all wash water into large containers to prevent run-off into the kitchen.
● After the wash process, the hood is dried and polished, floors mopped, and the entire area is wiped down.
● Technicians will then test to ensure that the exhaust system is working properly before applying certificate of performance(Hood Sticker) with the last and next service dates along with contact information.
● After cleaning or inspection a Job Service Report(JSR) will be provided outlining the cleaning process and any areas that were inaccessible or not cleaned along with photos.
